Among other things, the third and likely final book from the Carpathia Timeline doesn’t have a title yet. The plot isn’t fleshed out yet (I’ve always been a bit of a ‘pantser’, which means I write by the seat of my pants) but here is what I know:
— It will be set in the early 1950s, a bit more than thirty years after the events of The Devil’s Harvest, which was itself set about thirty years after Carpathia.
— The main setting will be Chicago, Illinois.
— Just as Carpathia’s main creature was the vampire, and The Devil’s Harvest featured zombies, the third book will focus on werewolves. Werewolves, by the way, are my favorites of all the ‘monsters.’
— Established Timeline characters who appear (at this very early stage) are likely going to be limited to Rebecca O’Brien, the vampire ex-wife of Daniel O’Brien.
— There will be a gangland war, and maybe a KGB assassin.
— As of March 23, 2013 I’ve got the Prologue written. My goal is for a tighter story than The Devil’s Harvest, which clocked in at 135,000 words. Let’s say for now I’m shooting for 85-90,000 words, which would put it on par with Carpathia.
— When will it be done? Ahhhh, if only I knew. Let’s just say I’d like to have it out by the end of summer and we’ll see what happens. 🙂
